From the Deep - series

This series launched from a painting sketch in my journal. I was feeling quite stuck and it was an effort to make a 15-20 minute journal sketch daily. I liked the sketch - already a ‘win’ - and I had some 10'“ x 10” panels available. The small size panels felt low-risk, which I needed. I started by trying to copy the sketch (by the way this never works!), and then riffing and developing each image. Each piece is 10” × 10” acrylic paint and mixed media, including crayon and pen, on 1.5” cradled panel. Each is sealed with a custom mix of acrylic medium. The series is for sale as a group ($950 plus tax) and each piece is also for sale individually on the Available page.
